Lots going on, Jess! Sounds like things are going well. :) Lots of delicious food, that's for sure. I hear you on taking less photos of food and sharing less. I am doing the opposite and it's taking a bit of a toll on me...I want to rethink it a bit, but as Substack is my main platform for where I'm trying to grow an audience to hopefully create a living, figuring out the boundaries is challenging. I have some ideas for how to do it though....just to execute now.
Congrats on signing your lease! Sounds like you've settled into this new place? And with an immersion blender, too! Hope you are liking it. :)
I'm stoked for your food & writing & sharing journey, Leslie! Its an adventure, no doubt.
Hehe, I assure you I still photograph nearly all my meals. I'm simply sharing the 'where's' a bit less when it comes to local eats outside the primary tourist areas. That's a bigger conversation on social media exposure and cultural intrusion for another time. It's how hidden gems get to remain....hidden gems...I trust you grasp that one. I appreciate you 'stopping by'!!! <3<3<3
Iβm going to Paper Bridge this eve (New York Times just listed it in their Americaβs 50 Best Restaurants) and itβs Northern Vietnamese food. Iβll let you know what I got and how I liked. Iβve heard good things but none were vegan.
Love this concept and congrats on your new lease π
Currently obsessed with vegan spam - but thatβs an always and forever obsession for me hehe
aw, thanks for saying that! and gosh, I was JUST contemplating some vegan ham tube so pretty close!! let's do it!!!
Well, since you asked - I am really digging my Brooklyn garden fresh tomatoes π
Gosh, I am wildly jealous of those homegrown beauts!!
