I know very little about New York suburbs/boroughs/whatever they are called, outside of what I read in The City We Became.
I have not watched The Gilded Age, but HBO/Max is on my shit list for cancelling the third and final season of Our Flag Means Death at the last second while it was in preproduction and thus depriving us all of the conclusion to the gay pirate love story that is only consuming my every waking thought because hello hyperfixation.
Oooo, I stated that book but haven't finished it - and you have also reminded me (Again!!) to finish OFMD, eeeeeeek!! And yes, the network blows. Cancel! <3
